Civil/Mechanical Staff Engineer - Bossier City, LA

Responsibilities:
  • Use engineering skills to prepare calculations for metal and pre-cast concrete structures, initiate, modify, and recommend approval of drawings
  • Perform basic to moderate design tasks including site preparation, structural, electrical layout and overall building plans.
  • Provide technical input to managerial personnel regarding design, construction, program modifications and structural repairs.
  • Interpret drawings during construction, operations and maintenance activities at project site.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Prepare and present public reports on bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
  • Design energy efficient and environmentally sound civil structures
  • Determine design specifications
  • Occasionally be on site to for assessment, installation and troubleshooting.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Efficiently able to use CAD systems.  Experience in AutoCAD and Inventor a plus.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings and other structures.
  • Ability to apply arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus and statistics
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders and agency rules.
  • Must work well in a group/team environment
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment, as well as production and non-controlled indoor environments, exposed to loud noise and dust particles. 
  • Adhere to all site requirements and wear protective personal equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat and ear plugs.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
  • Lean certification a plus
  • Working toward Professional Engineer certification, Engineer in Training (EIT)

Electrical Engineer - Bossier City, LA

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks
  • Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products
  • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements
  • Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems
  • Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications
  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects
  • Typically works in an office type environment and as required works in a production environment, exposed to loud noise dust particles, and an indoor environment that is non-controlled

  • Background and or highly interested in solar grid tie systems
  • Must regularly wear protective personal equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hats, and ear plugs and adhere to all site requirements

Industrial Engineer - Bossier City, LA

Responsibilities:
  • Use industrial engineering and statistical skills to: integrate capacity requirements, labor balancing, and product flow, optimize inventory systems and production control, and design quality systems and information flow systems
  • Interface with shop and engineers daily to determine action step from process analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • One (1) plus years of industrial experience desired
  • Must be hands on in the production processes
  • Must be able to see the big picture to optimize/analyze process steps
  • Lean training is a plus, but a mindset and history with process control and change is a must
  • Must be familiar with statistical techniques utilized in various lean manufacturing approaches and quality control systems
  • Must possess skills in process modeling and "what if" analyses
  • Must be familiar with various inventory management approaches
  • Must be able to interface with IT and management personnel to devise hard copy and digital documentation systems including, but not be limited to: shop instructions, quality systems, change order routines, procurement and inventory management systems, safety and environmental systems
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and writing communication skills
  • Possess the mental flexibility to identify skill sets to be required in the future, be self-motivated to learn and then teach those skills to other technical-professional or trades personnel
  • Willing to get hands dirty on the shop floor
